Our Home

Because we want our future to be as clean and peaceful as possible, we’ve chosen the most eco-friendly accommodation possible, and we want to share it and our way of life with any visitors who want it.

To achieve this, we have found a local compromise with the constraints of western life and designed our accommodation in an eco-friendly way: a minimalist L-shaped architectural design that resembles traditional old buildings, because we love old Nepalese architecture – click HERE – for more information, with multi-functional communal living areas.

The orientation and openness to the sun was a real consideration in terms of energy savings, as was natural ventilation between the floors and the living areas.

Above all, however, the choice of materials has been carefully selected, using recycled bricks from previous local buildings, and reducing the use of concrete as much as possible, particularly in view of the building’s seismic and structural constraints.

Lastly, particular care has been taken to recycle wood, from simple old beams to other old sculpted decorative elements.

The rooms are decorated in a natural, uncluttered style, with a choice of two separate beds or mixed beds, or an open-plan mezzanine bedroom.
For the sake of the environment, an outside bathroom is available, equipped with a walk-in shower and all the necessary toiletries.
We support local artists, offering them a privileged exhibition space in our global accommodation.
Finally, as part of our policy and our personal commitment, we have chosen to provide the best possible accessibility for people with disabilities, not only in terms of mobility, but also because our facilities are designed and will be adapted for the visually and hearing impaired.

Ideally situated, just 15 minutes from the centre of Kathmandu, at the foot of the Nagarjung forest reserve (click HERE), the district has a village atmosphere, even if there are more buildings here nowadays.

In the morning and evening, you can listen to the birds singing or enjoy a view of the surrounding jungle or the whole city.

You can park your own vehicle here, or take advantage of a varied personal transport service.

But be careful of the wildlife you come across, as the jungle is only 100m away!
